James B Turk began his career with the international accounting firm of Grant Thornton, PC in 1990 where he concentrated in manufacturing and financial markets. In 1992, at the age of 28, James was offered his first Chief Financial Officer role with Safe Car, Inc. a Grant Thornton manufacturing client in the process of completing their Initial Public Offering with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Over his four year tenure with the Safe Car, James helped the fledgling company raise $20 million in private equity funds and saw the company grow from eight employees to over two hundred.

Since that time, James has held the Chief Financial Officer role with a number of New Mexico’s larger manufacturers and has served as a financial, manufacturing process and technology advisor for numerous others.

In October, 2006 James was instrumental in closing both the Westland Development Company sale to SunCal Properties for $250 million and the Surfect Technologies, Inc. reverse merger with Windy Creek, Inc. and associated public registration financing of $3 million.
